Our first road trip

In August we took our first road trip over to Idaho to visit with my sister, Kendra and her family. My mom, dad, and sister, Whitney and her kids (who all live here) also went over. So quite the group showed up. Thanks Kendra and Jer for showing us so much fun and such great hospitality!

Here we are in Pendleton, Oregon for the first stop of our journey. Not knowing how well the kids would travel we went only about 5 hours on the first day. We ate here at Roosters and the kids were quite impressed with their meals. So much so, that Brody wanted to have his picture taken by the sign!

On the road again the next day. Because we only went 5 hours the first day we had a good 7-8 hours to cover the second day. It was surprisingly easy to travel with all of the kids. We had a great time.

Our next stop was a great little museum in Baker City, OR. Guess what?! I met someone there who has friends in Elma. Small world, eh?

More traveling....Bryce and I really split the driving pretty easily. No problem for me. That drive is not unfamiliar! It really brought me back to all the years I went to college and made the drive back and forth from either Rexburg or Provo.

Colton, a great little traveler. As long as he was dry and fed, he could just keep going and going. We had new toys for the kids to play with, new movies to watch, Harry Potter books on tape and plenty of fun music. The time flew by and I loved being in the car with my family.
