He did it!

Brody turned eight September 6th and with that very important birthday came a very important decision. His dad and I are so proud of him and his choice to be baptized. It was a wonderful day, two other boys from our ward were also baptized that day. I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, his Grandma Linda led the opening song and his Great Grandpa Rex led the closing which was "All Creatures of Our God and King," Bryce's favorite hymn.

My parents were there along with Uncle Carson and his two boys, Canon and Cason, Great Grandma Diane, and good family friend, Linda. We were so happy to see so many family members and friends from the ward come. His sunday school teacher, our home teacher, and even other friends from class. It was a fun day.

Afterward we took our family out to lunch, what a blast! Thanks everyone for being there and being part of our memories from this wonderful day.

Here are some pictures from Brody's birthday party. Several friends from our neighborhood and grandparents. Opening presents, boy do his friends know him well, both got him the exact same present! The double Nerf sword. Awesome gift, two swords-can hook together so you hold in the middle and have a sword out each end, or you can unhook them and have two (which means one for a buddy). They have been a huge hit around our house.

Just threw in this cute picture of my big Kindergartner. Love being able to use that as a reason for everything now. Example: "Kelsi, you are such a good helper pushing mommy's cart. It's because you're in Kindergarten now." "Kelsi, you are so sweet for being patient and loving when Colton scratches and claws you, that's because you're in Kindergarten now." And so on. It seems like I can manipulate any kind of good behavior from her by stating that I KNOW she'll do it because she's in Kindergarten now. I wonder how long that'll last.
