Christmas Is A Comin'

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we always go and get our Christmas tree. I know, pretty early, but I already had the Christmas decorations up and had talked Bryce into putting lights on the house!!! Might as well get the tree.

Chopped down in all it's glory and ready for us to haul away. We usually go to the same place each year to get our tree. This nice older couple who grow trees in a field next to their house. It's a nice set-up and we enjoy seeing them each year. They have free cider and candy canes and the kids love standing around the pot-bellied stove in their huge garage while dad loads the tree on the car.

Other December projects included Brody's project for his PATS class's World's Fair. Brody chose the country of Scotland to highlight because Grandpa and Grandma had just gone to Scotland this summer and brought back lots of pictures, artifacts, money, music and all kinds of things perfect for Brody's project. He did a fantastic job and it was fun to see all of the kids' projects on display.

Of course, one must decorate gingerbread houses during the Christmas season! So we bought each of the kids a house to go crazy on. They loved doing their own designs and watching each other's houses take shape.

They worked really well together helping each other glue stuff on and giving each other tips and ideas on how to decorate. Very nice. Santa's gonna like that kind of teamwork for sure. Nice list, here we come.
