Today officially kicks off Bryce's first week of vacation in over 2 years. The first thing we did this morning as the sun started breaking through the clouds was to take off to Burfoot Park. About a :20 min drive from our house you can take a nature trail that winds you down to a large stretch of water along Puget Sound-or Budd Inlet I think is the actual terminology.
So that's where we found ourselves heading this morning around 10am, with kids and buckets (for collecting treasures) in tow. As we were driving out of the driveway Bryce says to the kids, "okay, here are the rules for today, " and I am thinking, oh good, he's going to set ground rules for running, getting dirty, getting wet, etc. He says, "Anyone who doesn't run and laugh today is in trouble. The faster you run and the more fun you have, the better. You must get dirty and wet and find lots of ocean treasures..." or something to that effect. At that moment, I felt like the luckiest woman in the world to have found such a treasure of a husband myself.

Darling man. What a wonderful little family you've got there.
