There is a lot to see and do around Seaside. But we also wanted to go down to Cannon Beach and see the 'Goonie rocks' and visit the cheese factory in Tillamook. So our second day there we took off early in the morning to do just that.
Here we are making our way to the rocks. We had the usual coastal fog (or as Kelsi calls it...'frog') most of the morning so it was a little chilly and Cannon Beach was quite windy. Still we are so glad we stopped and walked to the rocks, they were huge! And Brody was impressed to see them up close as he likes the movie The Goonies.
The kids found this sand dinosaur someone had made...pretty cool.
Here we are at the Tillamook Cheese factory. Cute family!
A picture of the workers cutting and wrapping cheese. It's pretty neat to see. Kelsi kept waving to everyone down there and they were sweet enough to smile and wave back...several times.
Kelsi loved the baby cow and kept trying to hug it. After our tour we had to go get ice cream of course-even though it was only 10am. But I had been telling the kids about Tillamook for days and we couldn't leave without going to the 'ice cream parlor.' Kelsi was adamant and later listed it as one of her favorite things we did. Kelsi got bubble gum ice cream, Brody got root beer float, Bryce got mudslide, and I got udderly chocolate. Their ice cream is so creamy and delicious-so worth it!
