"Giving" explained...

The other day Kelsi finally explained why she was tacking on '-giving' to every holiday meal. Our conversation went like this:

Kelsi: Mom, are having a giving tonight?

mom: Huh? (totally perplexed), What do you mean, giving?

Kelsi: You know where there is a bunch of yummy food on a beautiful table and everyone sits around and eats it and everything is so good and beautiful.

Hmm, shows how often our family sits down to a beautiful table with yummy food. Not too often. (Oh, bad, bad mom!) That is so sad she thinks those meals only come around on holidays. But still pretty funny she's figured it all out in her own little head and come up with a pretty close definition of a family holiday meal.

I am sure she's looking forward to our Mother's Day-giving. Next big meal on the list!
